Local Fare

A friend contacted me last week to see if I would be interested in buying local, free-range, all-natural eggs once a week from a man in Columbia who raises hens in his backyard.  Um, yes!

Here's our first batch: (they are delivered in a store-bought carton that will be re-used each week)
love that they're all different colors and sizes!

Made some scrambled eggs this weekend and they were delicious--and the yolks are so bright. 

Also had some locally grown red potatoes last week and made lemon pesto roasted potatoes--yum!

    Mmm, fresh eggs. I am trying (not very hard, I'll admit) to find someone that sells fresh eggs in the Cayce/W. Cola area. If you hear of anyone, I would love to know, thanks!
